Sandálias Zouri em várias cores numa mesa de madeira

THE PROJECT · CHAPTER 3

Vegan Materials

Nothing of animal origin. No leather, no microfibres, no petroleum-based synthetics.

From the start we wanted to step away from the materials that create the problem we are trying to solve. We chose natural fibres, by-products of other industries and the plastic we collect from the sea.

What we use

Ocean plastic

Collected on Portuguese beaches and built into the soles.

Corn-based vegan leather

Made from waste from the corn industry.

Pineapple fabric

Made from pineapple leaf fibres, a by-product of the harvest.

Natural linen

A strong, breathable fibre, woven in Portugal and Spain.

Organic cotton

GOTS-certified, grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers.

Natural rubber

Tapped from the rubber tree, not derived from petroleum.

Reused cork

Recovered from the local wine industry.

Nothing of animal origin

No leather, no microfibres, no petroleum-based synthetics.

Palmilha de cortiça a ser trabalhada na fábrica

Chosen one by one

Every style, its own composition

Every style combines different materials. On each product page you will find the full composition — where each material comes from and where it was made.
